On April 8, 2022, members from the Fresno Police Department Street Violence Bureau
Tactical Team and Robbery Unit arrested 35-year old Anthony Gainey for a commercial
robbery series and two armed vehicle robberies.

Detectives linked Gainey to the crimes after completing an extensive investigation and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies.

During the arrest, Gainey ran from the vehicle he obtained from one of the vehicle robberies and discarded a loaded firearm.

The firearm was recovered and determined to be the firearm used in the crimes. Gainey was also in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine and a stolen ballistic vest.

Detectives also arrested 21-year-old Andrea Flores who participated in several of the robberies.

A timeline of the associated crimes is listed below:

• March 26, 2022, 6:52 A.M.-Arco located at 70 North Brawley Avenue.The
suspect entered the business armed with a firearm, demanded money, and fled
on foot after obtaining the money. Fresno County Sheriffs Department
investigation.

• March 28, 2022, 5:00 P.M. -G Mart, located at 1615 North Maple Avenue. The
suspect entered the business armed with a firearm, demanded money, and fled
on foot after obtaining the money. Fresno Police Department investigation.

• March 30, 2022, 6:18 P.M. -Airport Liquor, located at 4777 East McKinley
Avenue Airport Liquor, located at 4777 East McKinley Avenue. The suspect
entered the business armed with a firearm, demanded money, and fled on foot
after obtaining the money. Fresno Police Department investigation.

• March 31, 2022, 10:31 P.M.-In the area of Tulare Avenue and Fowler Avenue
regarding an armed vehicle robbery. The suspect approached the victim, who
was seated in his vehicle, demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim feared for
his safety and exited his vehicle. The suspect entered the vehicle and left the

• April 2, 2022, at 11:17 P.M.-Circle K located at 1234 North Peach Avenue. The
suspect entered the business armed with a firearm, demanded everyone get on
the floor, and took money from a customer and money from the cash register.
The suspect fled on foot after obtaining the money. Fresno Police Department
investigation.

• On April 5, 2022, at 9:00 P.M.-Sinclair located at 41440 Avenue 10 1/2. The
suspect entered the business armed with a firearm, demanded money, and fled
on foot after obtaining the money. Madera County Sheriff’s Department
investigation.

• April 8, 2022, at 4:00 A.M.-Park and Ride located at Highway 180 and McCall
Avenue. Officers determined the suspect approached the victims who were
seated in a vehicle. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s
vehicle. The victim exited their vehicle, the suspect got in the vehicle, and fled
