FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Thousands are expected to attend services for fallen Selma Police Officer Gonzalo Carrasco Jr.
A public viewing and mass will be held at Saint Joseph’s Church at 6 pm Feb 15, 2023.
Thursday, February 16, 2023, a funeral service will be held for Officer Carrasco of the Selma Police Department. The interment will be held in Reedley after the completion of the funeral service in Fresno.
The City of Reedley / Reedley Police Department would like to advise everyone of the following procession route/traffic flow information regarding the law enforcement procession that will come into Reedley on Reed Avenue.
Times are approximate:
12:30 – 1:00 pm – Procession arrives in Reedley on Reed Avenue
1:00 – 1:45 pm – Law enforcement procession vehicles travel south on Reed Avenue to Reedley Cemetery
PROCESSION is expected to last 45 minutes – 1 hour
ALL intersections with REED AVENUE in the city will be closed by law enforcement as the procession passes through. The intersections will re-open at the end of the law enforcement vehicle procession.
REED AVENUE from DINUBA AVENUE south to FLORAL AVENUE will be closed with barricades to the public from 9:00 am to approximately 3:00 pm.
OLSEN Avenue BRIDGE and Cricket Hollow Park will be closed to the public from approximately 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
The Reedley Police Department is thanking the Reedley community, for their understanding during these closures as we all honor Selma’s fallen Police Officer and our fellow public servant.
