(KMJ) Fresno – Who steals a tent from a dog rescue group? Someone did at Big Hat Days, this weekend.
Sometime over Saturday night, someone stole the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno’s easy-up tent – it even had their banner on it.
“We had a bunch of different vendors – they heard about it and came over and some people were saying in the 10 years that they have been here this has never happened.” -Noni Gonalez, Volunteer, Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.
The Lab Rescue Group has events coming up – like the Fresno Bully Walk in May – where they need to have a tent.
“Most of our donations goes to our dogs- so when we have to turn around and take money out of pocket to replace the stuff that’s taken from us – its just a financial setback.” – Noni Gonalez, Lab Rescue Volunteer.
The Lab Rescue Group has had two dogs recently come in that required extensive medical care – and it tapped their funds.
