What are your lunch plans for Wednesday, March 16th?

The Fresno PD would like you to cook for you…

Cops – Cooking…. it’s all to help Crime Tech Matt Shafers 2 1/2 year old son.

Matt Shafer has worked for the crime scene investigation bureau since 2008.

“His son Elliot was born blind from a genetic condition, he was soon diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure. He is currently awaiting a kidney transplant.” – Brooke Dorval, Senior Crime Scene Technician.

On Christmas Eve 2015, Elliot was admitted to Valley Children’s Hospital for breathing difficulties.

He was then flown to Stanford for more advanced treatment due to complications from an infection.

Elliot has since returned home after about 30 days in the hospital but was admitted once again with a broken arm due to his bone density.

Crime Tech Brooke Dorval works with Shafer, and is hoping to tempt your appetite.

“We’re doing breakfast burritos in the morning, tri-tip and pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, frito boats, various baked goods and much more, we also have “Support the Blue” apparel and all proceeds go to the family.” – Brooke Dorval, Senior Crime Scene Technician.

Lunch is from 9 to 2pm Wednesday, at the Fresno Police Annex Building Lobby off Fresno Street by “M” and “N” streets.
