Salmonella Fears Prompt California Company’s Pistachio Recall

FRESNO (KMJ) — A risk of salmonella contamination has prompted California based ‘Wonderful Pistachios’ to voluntarily recall some of their products.

The company says they’re working with both the FDA and the CDC, to remove the affected goods and advising customers not to eat them.

Currently 11 cases in nine states have been reported in connection with the recall. None of those are in California, and a CDC map of affected states is below.

Advice from the CDC is to check bags for specific product codes, and find the product number to identify them.
