FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Gas prices have begun to rise from their recent lows.

Some parts of California have seen increases of about 8 cents, over a 24 hour period.

The Southern California Automobile Club attributes the increase to the switch to the summer fuel blend.

Here in Fresno, gas is averaging $2.24 a gallon, which is up from $2.19 last week.

Analysts expect prices to go up even further, as the refinery maintenance season gets underway.

However, they should remain somewhat low, compared to the prices seen in previous years.
