FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — A link between female CEOs, and a company’s bottom line.

A new study of nearly 22,000 publicly traded companies in 91 countries finds that having a woman at the top, leads to increased profitability.

It was conducted by the Peterson Institute for International Economics, who says there’s not much indicating that having women on the board of directors, has the same impact.

Despite the prospect of bigger profits, more than half of the companies examined, had no female executives.
