(KMJ) A new Field Poll shows nearly 89% of Californians believe the state’s water shortage is serious.
The same survey says 66% feel the 4 year drought is “extremely serious”.
44% of homeowners said it would be difficult for them to cut household water use, despite the mandatory cutbacks issued by Gov. Brown.
About 70 percent said it would be a serious problem for them if their local water district raised household water bills by 15 or 25 percent.
The Field Poll says the current findings represent a “higher level of concern” compared to a similar poll last year. The findings come from a telephone survey between late-April and mid-May.
