Teen, Woman Arrested After Bodies Found in Redding

(CNN) – Two people already charged with felony child abuse, torture and mayhem could also face murder charges after two children were found dead in a northern California storage unit, police in the city of Redding said.

The bodies were discovered as authorities investigated the abuse of a third child, according to a police statement released Monday.

Tami Joy Huntsman, 39, and Gonzalo Curiel, 17, both of Quincy, are being held in the Plumas County Jail on the initial charges, authorities said.

A homicide investigation has been opened and autopsy results are pending, according to the statement.
