‘The Cat House On The Kings’ Needs Your Help To Win A Big Grant

FRESNO (KMJ) — The Central Valley’s ‘Cat House on the Kings’ needs your help to win a grant of as much as $20,000.

The cat sanctuary just north of Reedley houses felines who want to live in a no-cage and no kill shelter. It looks after abandoned and feral cats and kittens and it now needs your help to win.

“We started this in 1992”, says founder Lynea Lattanzio. “It started back then just as a bottle feeding fostering organization”.

Since then it’s expanded into a home for hundreds of cats who otherwise wouldn’t have anywhere else to go.

“We have people who visit from all over the world and we are probably more well known in Europe and Australia, than we are in Fresno.

“If you were to go to Fresno and ask ‘where is the cat house’, they wouldn’t know”.

But to make it work on a long term basis, they need funding and the grant being offered as part of the ‘shelter challenge’ could help support their efforts for years to come.

To vote for them, the link you need can be found here, using the zip code 93648 to search for ‘The Cat House on the Kings’. They also have their own instructions on how to vote, and you can find that clicking here.
