Small Shops Gearing Up for a Big Small Business Saturday

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Black Friday deals are expected to plentiful this year, with retailers gearing up for one — if not the — biggest day of the year.

According to a new National Federation of Independent Business survey, mom and pop shops could also see a record number of shoppers, on Small Business Saturday.

The federation says the day grows year after year, and has been a big boost to Main Street America.

80% of customers surveyed say they’re willing to pay slightly more from an item, if it’s purchased from a small, independently-owned retailer.
