Fresno State Student Pleads Not Guilty To Criminal Threats

FRESNO (KMJ) — A Fresno State student charged with felony criminal threats after has pleaded not guilty.

It’s alleged that Christian Pryor posted threats to the social media site ‘Yik Yak’ on November 2nd.

The messages stated that a shooting was due to take place on campus later that afternoon.

Within three hours of students reporting that post, the 18 year old walk on football player was taken into custody by campus police.

Inside Fresno County Superior Court, he pleaded not guilty to the felony criminal threat charge. If convicted on those charges he could face up to three years in prison.

Outside court he refused to say anything to the media, and his attorney even requested that the gathered press inside the courtroom leave for the duration of the arraignment.

Pryor is now out on a $20,000 bail. His next appearance has been set for January 20th.
