FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The sex offenders claim mismanagement of the Megan’s Law database website, has led to their being attacked.

Roy Matagora, who was convicted of raping a minor, was shot back in September by someone who had viewed his online profile.

The other plaintiff, Frank Lindsay, who committed lewd acts with a child under 14, says an assailant broke into his home in 2010, and tried to hill him with sledgehammer after finding his information online.

They allege that sex offenders have been subjected to physical harm, loss of employment, underemployment, and a lack of adequate housing.
