FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — According to a new study in the journal Social Psychological and Personality Science, those 30 and older are less likely to say they’re happy, than their parents were when they were around that age.
The study’s lead author says age is supposed to bring happiness and contentment, and for that to not be true anymore, is somewhat shocking.
Decades ago, adults 30 and older were generally happier than younger adults and teens.
Researchers believe competition, and feelings of being overwhelmed, are responsible for the lack of happiness.
