Binge drinking has surged in the Bay Area over the past decade and researchers say Silicon Valley culture may have something to do with it. KPIX-TV reports that research has found that binge drinking in Santa Clara County went up 28 percent, the highest of any California County. San Mateo County and San Francisco aren’t far behind.
