The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office has filed criminal charges against Shvonna Alexander relating to the assault on Vietnam Veteran Victor Bejarano on October 10th.
Shvonna Alexander has been charged with one felony count of Attempted Robbery and one felony count of Elder Abuse.
73-year-old Victor Bejarano, a Vietnam Veteran, was walking into the AutoZone on Belmont Avenue in Fresno when he was attacked by the defendant.
She demanded his wallet and followed him into the store, continuing the attack.
The assault was captured on the store’s video surveillance system.
She was arrested on Friday, October 23rd.
Alexander is currently in custody at the Fresno County Jail.
She faces a maximum sentence of up to 4 years in custody if convicted. She is scheduled for Arraignment in Department 31 of the Fresno County Superior Court on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
