FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — California has some of the worst drivers in the nation, according to a Bankrate.com study.
The Golden State is second-to-last, just behind Louisiana.
Researchers looked at several factors, including fatal crashes, insurance premiums, car thefts, and average commute times.
A somewhat surprising finding: Bankrate says California does not rank at the top of the the list, when it comes to the cost of fuel.
The average annual cost for gas is just over $961, and 31 other states have a higher expense.
Which states have the best drivers? According to Bankrate, they are Idaho, Vermont, Wyoming, and Minnesota.
