Porterville Man Held for Threats Against Church

(KMJ)   A Porterville man is jailed on charges threatening to kill priests and nuns.

Porterville Police say Ross Trimmer on Wednesday, called and allegedly made the threats to a representative of Saint Anne’s Catholic Church and Holy Cross Catholic Church.

In a news release, Reverend Monsignor Scott Daugherty said they have “taken all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the faithful where they gather. Diocesan Officials are working closely with the Pastor, School Principle and Law Enforcement as the investigation progresses.”

The Diocese of Fresno was also alerted of the potential danger.

Trimmer was booked into the Tulare County Jail with bail set at $500,000.00.
