~The Central California Blood Center is asking all blood donors, to please give TODAY at donor centers in Fresno, Visalia and Porterville in an effort to replenish the community’s blood supply as soon as possible.
Recent high blood usage due to weather-related accidents has caused inventory to drop drastically, with O-Negative blood type in particular need.
Other blood types are very low as well.
ALL donors are needed.
“Recent higher than expected usage due to weather-related accidents has put a continual strain on our Valley’s blood supply, particularly O-negative -at just 9% of needed inventory,” – Chris Sorensen, Director of Community Relations & Development, Central California Blood Center
