FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMJ/KFSN) — Four men were rescued Tuesday afternoon from the Kings River in Fresno County.
Just before 2:30 pm Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the area of Riverbend and Annadale in Sanger.
The group of young men found themselves in trouble after struggling to float through some rapids.
Three of the men found safety on an island, while the fourth clung to a tree.

Fresno County firefighters responded with a boat to transfer the three men off the island and over to the shore.
Meanwhile, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies flying in the EAGLE One helicopter, utilized a cinch collar to retrieve the one remaining man who was clinging to a tree. He was hoisted to safety on the shoreline.
All four men were wearing life jackets, which deputies say contributed to a positive outcome.
