FRESNO (KMJ) — An elderly woman is shaken up but otherwise OK – after driving her car into the side of her own home.
At around 8.30am Monday morning – CHP were called to a home on North Wishon Avenue in north west Fresno – where a woman had driven her car into the side of her own home.
Officer Jason Barton says she accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake – embedding her silver sedan in the wall – all the way up to the windshield.
"They're going to have to have it fixed. I'm not in construction but it doesn't appear to be any major structural damage", says Officer Barton.
Her home office was on the other side of the wall – but no one was inside. The driver was wearing her seatbelt – and there were no serious injuries.
