Fresno Police ID Stabbing Victim, Her Alleged Attacker Charged With Murder

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Fresno Police have released the identities of a homeless woman, stabbed to death in central Fresno, and the man they say attacked her.

Fresno Police say both were part of the unhoused community.

Fresno police officers found 58-year-old Patricia Roper near the post office on Griffth Way and Blackstone Avenue around 7:00 Sunday night.

Police say she was stabbed in her upper body.

She was rushed to the hospital – but died there from her wounds.

Officers arrested one person for murder, identified on Monday as 36-year-old Steven Raymundo.

The investigation is underway.
