Documents Show Clovis Teacher Tried to Hide Nude Photos of Student

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — New details are emerging in the case of two Clovis Unified School District employees, who are accused of having sex with a student.

Court documents say officers seized the phone of high school teacher Matthew Pena, before he was able to delete evidence of the improper relationship.

Pena is believed to have been trying to erase nude photographs the day he was arrested.

The other defendant, football coach Dwayne Andrews, sent text messages to the girl as she was being questioned, asking if he needed to be worried.

Andrews and Pena have pleaded not guilty to felony charges.
