Local Artist Demands Answers After New High School Mural is Painted Over

(KMJ) – Valley artist Naomi Marie Guzman says she was commissioned by Fresno Unified’s McLane High School to paint a mural on its campus. And, she adds, its design was approved by school administrators.

She was assisted by local students to create the work of art. And, once it completed, she and the kids signed it.

But, Guzman tells KMJ’s Afternoon Drive, McLane Administrators had the wall painted over two weeks later because they reportedly claim the trees featured on it look like “witches.”
