Deputies Arrest 2 Gang Members, Seize 2 Guns in City of San Joaquin

(KMJ) – During a traffic stop on a black Ford Mustang at 10:30 pm on Saturday, a Fresno County Sheriff’s deputy arrested 19 year old Roy Flores.

He was booked into the Fresno County Jail for illegal possession of a loaded gun and an outstanding warrant related to a theft.

Shortly after midnight on Monday, a deputy made a traffic stop on a white Acura TI driven by 19 year old Carlos Espitia Jr.

He was arrested for illegal possession of a loaded handgun and drug possession.

Espitia was carrying a large capacity magazine containing 22 rounds.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office made these arrests as part of its ongoing proactive gang enforcement efforts in San Joaquin, which has seen a substantial amount of shootings in the last couple of years.
