(KMJ)-  All lanes of Highway 101 are open as a fast-moving wildfire continues to burn on the Central Coast.

The Avila fire closed the highway and threatened dozens of homes after it began Monday.  But authorities lifted evacuations after Cal Fire crews made progress against the blaze at Avila Beach.

The fire was reported at around 3 p.m. Monday and quickly spread to about 400 acres.  About 200 firefighters battled the blaze and remained on the scene overnight. At its height, the blaze threatened about 100 homes.

It is now reportedly 20% contained but its cause remains under investigation.
