Double Murder Suspect Arrested

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — A suspected gang member is behind bars in connection to a double murder. 

Fresno police say 20-year-old Gustavo Duenas was was arrested Sunday after a short chase. 
    
Earlier this month, Duenas, his father Jose Duenas and another gang member had been reportedly robbing people.   

Investigators say the group attacked Calvin Reese and shot him, while also unintentionally shooting Duenas' father. The two men died at the hospital. 
    
Detectives and a Violence Crime Impact Team worked more than 400 hours on the case and served seven search warrants. 
    
Duenas has been booked in jail on two counts of murder, robbery, gang enhancements and resisting arrest.
