(KMJ) – A three-month investigation leads to an arrest for embezzlement at a South Valley Ag company.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office says its deputies were contacted back in September by representatives from Best Agri Marketing in Traver. They told investigators the company’s vice president of 19 years, Denise Franks, embezzled more than $300,000 over the past four years.
Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Ag Unit served a search warrant at Franks’ Valley home but she was at her vacation home in Morro Bay. So, Police in that city detained Franks who was then returned to Tulare County.
Deputies say she booked into the County’s Adult Pre-Trial Facility and saw her bail set at $75,000.
