Kingsburg Woman Charged After Dogs Found Living in “Filth”

(KMJ) – A Kingsburg woman now faces more than a dozen counts of animal cruelty after Police find dogs at her home living in foul, filthy conditions.

KIngsburg Police say its officers were called to the home on the 200 block of West Orange Street Sunday after neighbors complained of foul smells and barking dogs.   At the home, 15 dogs were found abandoned and malnourished.  Officers add the animals were living in filth and feces.

Monday, the home’s owner 50-year old Yvette Martinez turned herself into Kingsburg Police.  She now faces 16 counts of felony cruelty to animals.  And her bail has been set at $200,000.
