(KMJ) – A South Valley man is arrested for driving under the influence of drugs following a fatal traffic collision in Visalia Sunday Afternoon.
Officers say a car driven by 21-year old Richardo Tavizon tried to cross Mooney Boulevard at Avenue 272 around 4 p.m. He reported turned into the path of a Chevy pick-up, which struck his car. The resulting collision killed a passenger in Tavizon’s car and blocked all lanes of Mooney for nearly five hours.
Tavizon was taken to Kaweah Delta for treatment of minor injuries and then booked for driving under the influence of drugs.
