FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Election day is Tuesday – Are you ready to vote?
Fresno County Registrar of Voters Brandi Orth wants to make sure you are.
“Go to our website fresnovote.com and it says ‘check my voter status,’ and look yourself up, and make sure that your address is correct and where your polling place is or if we have mailed you a vote by mail ballot, said Orth.
You can also call 600-VOTE [8683] to get help.
Finding your polling place is very important said Orth, “because if you go to the correct one then your name will be on the roster and we will be able to process you very smoothly.”
Orth said already their lobby at 2221 Kern Street has been packed with voters, and a steady stream of cars using their drop off box with 500 mail in ballots received as of Sunday, November 4, 2018.
If you have a mail in ballot you can take to “polling places or the drive through locations or our office,” said Orth.
Orth expect a 50 percent or higher turnout of voters for this midterm – in all 97,000 ballots are in and still counting.
“We’ll see if it breaks some records kinda looks on track to do that,” said Orth.
Polls are open 7:00am to 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
If you need transportation to the polling place you can get a discounted ride from Lyft -promo code: VOTECA1 and Uber – promo code: VOTE2018.
