Coalinga Man Arrested, Accused Of Killing His Wife Dies in Hospital

 

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Coalinga Man who was arrested, accused of killing his wife has died.

On October 9th, Fresno County Jail Inmate Clarence Kozlowski experienced chest pains while in jail.

He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The 85 year-old died there on Sunday, October 21.

He had been in jail since September 14, when he was arrested on a homicide charge.

On September 14th, just after 10:30 am, officers from the Coalinga Police Department responded to a home on the 300 block of Jefferson St. on a request for help.

They found his wife, 81 year old Joyce Kozlowski had been shot once.

She was pronounced dead inside the home.

Clarence was immediately detained for further questioning.

Once the incident was determined to be a homicide, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office was requested to have detectives take over the investigation.

An autopsy was performed on Clarence Kozlowski but nothing suspicious was discovered.

Kozlowski’s cause of death is pending test results.
