FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A toddler in Porterville ingests large amounts of Tylenol, his mother is arrested.
Porterville Police say 26-year old Valerie Tarrant was under the influence of a controlled substance on Friday at their home on N. Third Street.
Police say it was during that time that her two-year-old son ate a large dose of Tylenol.
Detectives say she waited hours before seeking medical treatment for the child.
He, and another child were released to Child Protective Services.
Tarrant was arrested Sunday for Child Endangerment and Use/Under Influence Controlled Substance.
She was booked into the Tulare County Jail on a $100,000 bail.
