Two Injured, One With Serious Burns, In Southeast Fresno Apartment Fire

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Two people are injured, one with serious burns, during an apartment fire Thursday, in Southeast Fresno.

Fresno Fire Captain Robert Costillo says the blaze began around 12:30p.m. at 331 S. Dearing Avenue by Chestnut and Kings Canyon.

Two patients were transported to CRMC, one suffered burns over 30 percent of her body, the other suffered smoke inhalation.

“We had a number of resources respond, they were able to control the fire, extinguish the fire,” said Fire Captain Castillo.

In all, three people were left homeless after the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
