(KMJ) – The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a weekend boat collision on the Kings River that leaves one man dead.
This all happened on the Kings, east of Highway 99 around 4:30 Sunday afternoon. Deputies say two boat slammed into one another on a stretch of the river where the waterway curves.
The impact killed a passenger in one boat. He has been identified as 53 year old Jesse Moya, of Easton. Deputies say the driver of that boat was airlifted to Clovis Community Medical Center for treatment.
Now Deputies are working to determine if alcohol played a factor in this accident.
