FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Fresno police are asking for the public’s help to find a man they say robbed a local credit union.
Police were called to the Educational Employees Credit Union on N. Milburn Ave in West Fresno on Tuesday afternoon after a robbery was reported.
Witnesses told officers the man was a white or Hispanic man in his 20s, and put a note on the counter demanding $5,000.
The teller put the money in an envelope and gave it to the man, who then left the credit union, then activated the alarm.
Police officers began searching but only found discarded clothing, a black backpack, and other items related to the robbery.
Detectives have identified the suspect as 32-year-old Kevin Laplant of Fresno.
