FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – 29-year-old convicted child rapist Daniel Flanum is denied parole for another three years.
The Kings County District Attorney’s Office says Flanum was denied parole on Friday, March 23rd at Valley State Prison in Chowchilla,
In May of 2006, Flanum was convicted for the forcible rape of a 14-year-old Lemoore girl.
According to a press release from the DA’s office, Flanum was a stranger to the girl, when in October of 2005, he choked the child inside of a vehicle, raped, then stabbed her six times in the neck with a box-cutter.
The victim survived the attack and spent several weeks in a hospital.
Flanum was sentenced to 15 years to life in the state prison and ordered to register as a sex offender.
