GALT, Calif. (AP) – Authorities said two people were found dead inside a Northern California house by SWAT officers who were summoned there.
The police chief in Galt said a woman reported Saturday afternoon that her mother, who lives in the house, had told her she had killed her boyfriend and was going to kill herself.
Chief Dan Drummond told the Sacramento Bee officers went to the house and tried to get her to open the door, but after some delay they heard a gunshot.
Drummond said a SWAT team entered the house and found the body of a man and a woman.
He said detectives were looking into whether the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.
