Fresno State’s March Match Up Meets $100,000 Goal

FRESNO; CA (KMJ) – Fresno State’s March Match Up meets it’s $100,000 goal.

With a week left to go in Fresno State’s fundraising campaign to stock its Student Cupboard, the good news was announced Monday, March 26th on Twitter that the school had hit its goal.

It’s the third year of the March Match Up campaign to alleviate student hunger.

When surveyed, more than 43 percent of students at Fresno State reported experiencing food insecurity.

Fresno State’s Student Cupboard was created back in 2014 to offer students food and hygiene products.

More than 3,200 students visit the Student Cupbord each month.

Students can walk in anytime and get what they need to stave off hunger pains and instead focus on their academic goals.

The Student Cupboard is receiving a match through Moss Adams up to $25,000, and this year’s goal of $100,000 was just met thanks to MossAdams, Fagundes Dairy, and an anonymous donor.
