FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Get ready to throw your money in the kitty at the 2nd Annual “Poker for Paws” Tournament
Organizers are inviting you to the play poker on Saturday March 10th to benefit The Cat House on the Kings.
The event raises money to pay for all the animals and spay and neutering services at the Cat House.
Spokesperson Beth Caffrey says you don’t even have to know how to play because there are free poker playing classes available before the tournament, “It starts at 7:15 p.m., it’s a 40 dollar buy-in where you receive $3000 in chips.”
Proceeds will be matched $1 for $1 by CLUB ONE.
Prizes including a golfing package, tickets to the Fresno Philharmonic, Fresno Escape Room gift card and more.
The Cat House on the Kings begins their 26th year of serving the Central Valley and they are proud to recognize their founder’s lifesaving success during her lifetime.
They are also celebrating saving over 30,000 cats, 7100 dogs, and spaying/neutering 56,000 animals for the community.
The Cat House on the Kings is California’s largest no-cage, no-kill, and lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center. Our mission is to place rescued cats and kittens into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership. The Cat House on the Kings offers low cost spay and neuter referrals for the community and operates an adoption center seven days a week inside the Blackstone/Ashlan Petco store in Fresno.
