Early Morning Homicide In Merced

MERCED POLICE

A call of shots fired lead Merced Police to the scene of a homicide early this morning.

Officers were called to the three hundred block of Eric Court just after 12:30 A.M.  There they found a 20-year old Hispanic man who had been shot several times.  He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

There is no description of the responsible shooter.  A vehicle was seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting, but it is unknown if this vehicle was involved in the shooting. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspects involved in this case.
