FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Two people survive a fiery crash in Sanger
It happened just after midnight, Thursday night.
Police say the 17 year-old driver of a pick-up truck fell asleep and struck a tree on Newmark at North streets.
Sanger Police say the driver had been traveling at approximately 60 mph when it hit – the car burst into flames after the collision.
The driver and 11-year old passenger sustained injuries but were able to get out of the vehicle.
The two victims are being treated for their injuries.
Police say seat belts and airbags most likely saved their lives.
