FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Allowing dust to build up in the house could lead to weight problems.
According to a new study by the American Chemical Society, household dust contains compounds which can make fat cells grow.
The EPA estimates that children consume around 50 milligrams of such dust every day, which researchers say can have a measurable impact.
However, previous studies have found benefits to dust exposure, such as building up immunity to allergies.
