Chocolate May Lower Your Risk of Irregular Heartbeat

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Eating moderate amounts of chocolate has been linked to a noticeably lower risk of developing an irregular heartbeat.

Researchers in Denmark say consumption of cocoa promotes healthy blood vessel function.

Dark chocolate, which has a higher cocoa content, appears to be the most beneficial.

Still, consuming chocolate products in excess is discouraged, given the potential for weight gain due to the high calorie count.
