FRESNO, CA ( KMJ ) – Enjoy a bottle of red wine and help animals in the process.
It’s a good pairing… wine sales to help some of the Central Valley’s stray and homeless animals.
The new red wine is being released in a partnership by the Central California SPCA and C.G. Di Arie Vineyard and Winery, a family owned winery 50 miles from Sacramento.
C.G. di Arie created “Mixed Breed” a red wine blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Franc.
SPCA Spokesperson Walter Salvari says like many of the animals they get in – the wine’s being called Mixed Breed.
“It’s like a mix of types of wines; Zinfandels, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cab. So, it’s really a whole bunch of flavors altogether into one, and hopefully people come out and buy it so we can apply the money to all the needy animals in our community.” -CCSPCA Spokesperson Walter Salvari.
Mixed Breed” will be arriving at Total Wine & More in Fresno.
For every bottle of “mixed breed” sold, the CCSPCA will receive $3!
“This donation’s going to be great toward the animals we have locally here, it will either go into our spay neuter programs or just the care of the animals that we receive here that don’t have any homes.” – Walter Salvari, CCSPCA Spokesperson.
And that worthy of a toast!
