Fresno, CA (KMJ) A popular stretch of valley river is now closed until further notice.
Monday, the US Forest Service shut down access to the Tule River from Wishon Campground to lower Coffee Camp.
That stretch of waterway has seen five drownings over the past three weeks.
The Forest Service tells the Visalia Times Delta it will now make week-by-week determinations as to when it will reopen the river.
