Costco, Savemart, Walmart, Trader Joes as well as a number of food service companies, distributors you know JD Foods, Saladinos, Unified Grocers just a number of different buyers that are coming in looking for local products to source their needs.- Amy Fuentes, Manager,Fresno Food Expo.
Fuentes says it’s good for the local economy.
Small buyers have seen their sales increase up to 30 percent as a direct result of this event, and there’s also the aspect of job creation, as companies expand they often hire one or two new employees to handle the new business and increased sales.
