Calif. Snowpack Among Biggest on Record

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The most recent measurement by the Department of Water Resources shows water content in the Sierra Nevada snowpack is at 183 percent of the historical average.

It’s the latest sign of recovery from 5 years of severe drought conditions.

Despite calls for the governor to end state’s drought status, water conservation continues to be encouraged, given the time it’ll take to replenish groundwater supplies.
