FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Citibank and its subsidiaries are being forced to pay $700 million in relief, to people who were harmed by their unlawful credit card add-on services.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says an estimated 7 million customers were affected, by deceptive marketing and billing.

Citibank, which closed several branches in the Central Valley late last year, will also pay $35 million in civil penalties.
