Fewer Undocumented Calif. Students Seeking Financial Aid

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The number of undocumented students seeking financial aid in the California Community Colleges System, is down by more than 40 percent from last year.

With just days before the deadline, there are only around 20,000 Dream Act applications on file, according to the California Student Aid Commission.

The 113-campus State Community Colleges System, which is the largest in the nation, suspects the drop is due fear and controversy over immigration.
